To make things easier for you, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know about The Boys Season 4, from the cast to the storyline, and how to stream the latest episodes. The AMZ Updates provide latest information and updates about prime users.
The Plot of The Boys Season 4
Season 4 casts the show – and the world – into even greater states of disarray. The unfathomably vile Vought International persists in dominating society through super beings they call Supes, and the vigilisitic Boys who plan to bring the company crashing down continue to meet their most formidable oppositions.
Victoria Neuman , a Supe with political aspirations for the presidency, is how the AMC show sees her inch closer into becoming the vice president of the United States of America. At the same time, the main character, Billy Butcher, has to face the consequences of using Temp V, a substance that provides people with powers for 5-10 minutes but ultimately kills them. Having realised he has only a few months to live, Butcher has to bring together the divided team and prevent both Homelander and Neuman from claiming their victory.
My main characters and antagonist are positioned at the center of the unrest: we have Homelander – the untidy boss of the group called The Seven. Homelander is far more dangerous now that his son Ryan has fallen under his control. It is a brand new world of corporate and political maneuvering and new foes threaten The Boys.
Returning Cast: Fan Favorites Back in Action
The Boys’ main cast returns for Season 4, with some players from The Seven joining the fray again. Below you will find a brief description of the primary protagonists of the drama:
Billy Butcher (Karl Urban)
The show has an unconventional antihero protagonist in Karl Urban’s Butcher, the captain of the superhero-violence-inducing group The Boys, who, despite being the hero here, is just as broken and terrible as the villains he opposes. Somehow, in Season 4, he is even more eager than before to bring down Homelander and the company of Vought. However, in Season 3 he got hold of Temp V and died because of it, thus he has only several months left.
Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid)
More of Hughie’s character development, from an average man mourning the death of his girlfriend to an important figure in The Boys. In season 4, he starts questioning himself about the perks of their fight because it became much more brutal than he had imagined. And while the dynamic of the collaboration between him and Annie January—Starlight—remains the bolstering force as well as the cause of tension.
Homelander (Antony Starr)
As he founds his own nation in the new world newly controlled by The Seven, the new Homelander is now slightly more mad than ever. Standing alongside his son, Ryan and under the influence of Homelander, there is no one to stop him from devastating the world.
Annie January / Starlight (Erin Moriarty)
While in season 3 the series depicts how corrupt Vought really is, Annie formally becomes a part of The Boys. She remains as hopeful as ever in their fight, and still uses her powers where she can to shield those who she loves.
Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso)
M.M. is not only the emotional center of the show, but the moral compass as well, of The Boys. In season 4 a noticeably more mature character, he becomes the thinker of the group, making sure everything stays on track in the thick of battling the decepticons.
Frenchie (Tomer Capone) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara)
So overall Frenchie is helpful to The Boys due to his resourcefulness and Kimiko thanks to her powers. The housemates’ interpersonal relationship is explored further in season 4: Kimiko deal with the ethical question of her capabilities.
A-Train (Jessie T. Usher)
In A-Train redemption and reckoning go hand in hand because the protagonist is a criminal who tries to find his place in the world. Making amends for his past action in becoming responsible for his brother’s condition and killing Blue Hawk in Season 3 and the experience of realizing the wrong side he is on in Season, A-Train has become even more disillusioned in Season 4.
The Deep (Chace Crawford)
Deep too continues to be a tragicomic character struggling between his’ loyalty to Homelander and his own selfishness. Season 4 looks into his character getting worse, becoming more and more of a complete sell out.
New Faces in The Boys Season 4
Season 4 introduces some new characters to broaden the universe and add new dynamics into story:
- Sister Sage (Susan Heyward): Sage is a sharp and cryptic Supe with weird powers who joins The Seven and quickly turns into a significant bit of the show’s progressing story.
- Firecracker (Valorie Curry): When she joins The Seven, Firecracker poses a question as a representative of the new and edgy character.
- Jeffrey Dean Morgan: However, not much can be said concerning Morgan’s position, just the fact that he has been introduced contributes a lot of value to the series.
